Education survey questions, answered
When should course evaluations be run?
A short pulse at the midpoint and the full evaluation in the last two weeks before final assessments, when attendance is still high.
Should student surveys be anonymous?
Yes for anything about teachers, safety or belonging. Named surveys are fine for logistics such as timetables or facilities.
How do I get parents to respond to a school survey?
Send it by text or email with a direct link, keep it under five minutes, translate it, and tell parents what changed after the last one.
What should a teacher survey ask?
Workload drivers, support from leadership, access to resources, professional development, student behaviour and whether they see themselves staying.
What is an alumni survey for?
Employment and further-study outcomes, how well the programme prepared graduates, and willingness to mentor, speak or give, which feeds accreditation and fundraising.
