Free online poll maker

Ask one question, add up to ten options and share the link. People vote on any phone without signing up, and you see totals and percentages as they arrive.

Options (2–10)

“One vote per browser” uses a cookie plus a per-connection limit. It stops casual repeat voting, but someone determined can vote again from another device or browser, so don’t use free polls for elections or anything that needs verified, one-person-one-vote results. Links are not allowed in polls.

How to create an online poll

  1. Write one clear question

Keep it short and specific, e.g. “Which date works best for the team lunch?”.

  2. Add the options

Add 2–10 answers that don’t overlap. Allow multiple choices only when people genuinely need to pick more than one.

  3. Choose who sees results and when it closes

Show results to everyone, only to voters after they vote, or only to you. Set a closing date or close it yourself.

  4. Share the link

Copy the link into a chat, email or social post. Keep the private manage link to see private results or close the poll.

Polls versus surveys

A poll asks one question and shows the result immediately; it is ideal for quick decisions and engagement. When you need follow-up questions, skip logic, segments or exportable data, use a survey instead. The free plan includes three surveys.

How voting limits work

With “one vote per browser” on, each browser can vote once, and each internet connection is capped at a number of votes per hour. This stops casual repeat voting but cannot guarantee one vote per person: someone could vote again on another device. Free polls are not suitable for elections, contests with prizes or anything that needs verified identity.

Privacy

Voters don’t sign in and we don’t ask who they are. We store the vote, a random cookie identifier and a one-way hash of the connection to enforce limits. Polls and their votes are deleted 12 months after closing, or sooner if the creator deletes them.

Frequently asked questions

Do voters need an account?

No. Anyone with the link can vote on a phone or computer.

Can I see who voted?

No. Polls are anonymous: you see totals and percentages, not voters’ identities.

Can I stop people voting twice?

Turn on “One vote per browser”. It blocks repeat votes from the same browser and caps votes per connection, but a determined person can still vote from another device, so don’t use it where one-person-one-vote matters.

How do I close or delete my poll?

Open the private manage link you got when you created it (the browser you used is remembered automatically). From there you can close, reopen, change who sees results or delete the poll.
